Although her first single "Momo no Hanabira" (桃ノ花ビラ) was released in September of 2003, it wasn't until her 2nd single Sakuranbo (さくらんぼ) that she became a sensation. As of 2006, she has released a total of 3 albums as well as numerous singles. She also starred in in the drama "Tokyo Friends."
At the moment of this writing, she is one of my favorite artists; mainly due to a unique combination of her lyrics, song composition, and personality. My personal favorites among her compositions are Haneari Tamago (羽ありたまご), Amaenbo (甘えんぼ) and Friends (フレンズ).
"a tasty morsel of raw fish 300 Yen"

This is the B-side track off Otsuka Ai's single "Kuroge Wagyuu Joshio Tanyaki 680/735 Yen." The full name of the song is "Hon Maguro Naka Toro 300 Yen (midori iro)."

Lyrics:
kurukuru to mawatte wa wakenai kimochi
My reasonless feelings turn round and round
usu usu to wakaru umidasenai atashi no jyama na kimochi
I begin to understand my interfering feelings
sukoshi tooisoi tokomade dare mo shiranai atashitachi no koto
Take me to a place just a little far away where no one knows us
sonna sekai he ikite ikeru youni tsurete itte
So that I can go on living in this kind of world
anata no merodi ni sotto atashi no kanaderu oto wa
The note that I play softly in your melody
torokeru you na koishii aji ima mieru no wa shiranai toko
Has an almost enchanting, beloved taste I can see an unknown place
umi no soko oyoide tadoritsukeba tsurai koto ni naite
If I struggle on to the bottom of the sea, crying because of the difficult things
anata ni deai dareka wo shiawase ni suru yorokobi ga aru
I'll be glad just to meet you, just to have made someone happy
nee kizukanai uchi ni atashi no hoho wa pinku iro
Hey, without my noticing, my cheeks turned pink
dooshite da to omou?
Why do you think that was?
anata no merodi ni sotto yurarete atashi mo odoru
Rocked softly in your melody, I also dance
ichiban kirei na hikari abite ima iru midori no osara
Basking in the most beautiful light, now, there is a green plate
anata no merodi ni sotto atashi no kanaderu oto wa
The note that I play softly in your melody
torokeru you na koishii aji ima mieru no wa shiranai toko
Has an almost enchanting, beloved taste I can see an unknown place
La La La ........
La La La.......
La La La...
wagarazu agare hikari butai
Without being afraid, I'll go up to the lit stage
ima mieru no wa shiranai toko
Now I can see an unknown place
Translation Notes:
Blue doesn't normally translate the titles of the song so the translated title for this was done by me; vllasko. I translated "Hon Maguro Naka Toro" as "a tasty morsel of raw fish." I believe "Hon Maguro Chuu Toro" is also correct; if not more proper. I've never eaten this thing so I really can't say... It's sort of an interpreted translation since "hon maguro" implies literally "real fish" or a "high grade of fish." "naka toro" is just a type of maguro; one that is more on the fatty side of maguro; therefore more tasty.
The full name of the song is "Hon Maguro Naka Toro 300 Yen (midori iro)." The part in parenthesis, "midori iro" means "green color."
