Although her first single "Momo no Hanabira" (桃ノ花ビラ) was released in September of 2003, it wasn't until her 2nd single Sakuranbo (さくらんぼ) that she became a sensation. As of 2006, she has released a total of 3 albums as well as numerous singles. She also starred in in the drama "Tokyo Friends."
At the moment of this writing, she is one of my favorite artists; mainly due to a unique combination of her lyrics, song composition, and personality. My personal favorites among her compositions are Haneari Tamago (羽ありたまご), Amaenbo (甘えんぼ) and Friends (フレンズ).
Koko Natsu Bakeeshon (ココ夏バケーション)
"Coconut-s-ummer Vacation"
Brief Comments:
The title of this song has a funny play on words to it. The song itself is actually quite entertaining and catchy too! You can read more about the pun in the notes at the bottom of the translation.

Lyrics:
朝から晩まで (ずっとバケーション)
asa kara ban made (zutto bakeeshon)
From morning 'til night (always vacation)
心も体も (ずっとバケーション)
kokoro mo karada mo (zutto bakeeshon)
My heart and body (always vacation)
踊れてしまいそうだ ビーチサンダルでフラダンス
odorete shimaisou da biichi sandaru de fura dansu
Seem to dance, doing the hula in my beach sandals
どこもかしこも (ずっとバケーション)
doko mo kashiko mo (zutto bakeeshon)
Here and there (always vacation)
イヤなことさえ (ずっとバケーション)
iya na koto sae (zutto bakeeshon)
Even bad things (always vacation)
忘れてしまいそうだ 手をたたいてうたうたう夜
wasurete shimaisou da te wo tataite uta utau yoru
Can be forgotten on the night when I clap my hands and sing a song
ずっとここにいて 昨日の夢の続き
zutto koko ni ite kinou no yume no tsudzuki
Stay here always- the continuation of yesterday's dream
幸せになれるよ あなたがいる限り
shiawase ni naru yo anata ga iru kagiri
Becomes happiness as long as you're here
波の音まで (そっとバケーション)
nami no oto made (sotto bakeeshon)
The sound of the waves (quiet vacation)
浜辺の足あと (そっとバケーション)
hamabe no ashiato (sotto bakeeshon)
The footprints in the sand (quiet vacation)
のんびり時計をはずす アロハシャツ着てフラダンス
nonbiri tokei wo hazusu aroha shatsu kite fura dansu
Carefree, ignoring the clock, I do the hula in a Hawaiian shirt
日焼けのあとも (そっとバケーション)
hiyake no ato mo (sotto bakeeshon)
Though I'm sunburnt (quiet vacation)
光る汗にも (そっとバケーション)
hikaru ase ni mo (sotto bakeeshon)
Though I'm sweaty (quiet vacation)
いつまでも手をつないで 風にゆらりゆれるワンピース
itsumademo te wo tsunaide kaze ni yurari yureru wanpiisu
I always join hands, my dress swaying in the wind
ずっとそばにいて 遠い夢の話を
zutto soba ni ite tooi yume no hanashi wo
Be with me always- talk of a faraway dream
幸せになれるよ あなたがいるから
shiawase ni naru yo anata to iru kara
Becomes happiness when I'm with you
また来年ここにこよう また一緒にこよう
mata rainen koko ni koyou mata issho ni koyou
Let's come again next year, let's come again together
騒いでぐうたら たまにはイイかも
sawaide guutara tama ni wa ii kamo
It's good to play 'til you drop, once in a while
ごほうび サマーバケーション
goboubi samaa bakeeshon
It's your reward: summer vacation
ずっとここにいて 昨日の夢の続き
zutto koko ni ite kinou no yume no tsudzuki
Stay here always- the continuation of yesterday's dream
幸せになれるよ あなたがいる限り
shiawase ni naru yo anata ga iru kagiri
Becomes happiness as long as you’re here
ずっとここにいよう 笑いかけたこの夜
zutto soba ni ite tooi yume no hanashi wo
Be with me always- talk of a faraway dream
夏の終わりをただ あなたと見届けた
shiawase ni naru yo anata to iru kara
Becomes happiness when I’m with you
La La La…
LaLaLa...
LaLaLa...
幸せになれるよ あなたといるから…。
shiawase ni naru yo anata to iru kara...
It becomes happiness when I'm with you...
Translation Notes:
Blue usually doesn't translate the song titles. So most of the other translations, I've filled in the title of the song for her. However, for this song, Blue came up with a creative way to "translate" the pun.
The pun is basically the play on words for "coconut" -> "kokonatsu" (romaji) and "natsu"(romaji) -> "summer".
