Although her first single "Momo no Hanabira" (桃ノ花ビラ) was released in September of 2003, it wasn't until her 2nd single Sakuranbo (さくらんぼ) that she became a sensation. As of 2006, she has released a total of 3 albums as well as numerous singles. She also starred in in the drama "Tokyo Friends."
At the moment of this writing, she is one of my favorite artists; mainly due to a unique combination of her lyrics, song composition, and personality. My personal favorites among her compositions are Haneari Tamago (羽ありたまご), Amaenbo (甘えんぼ) and Friends (フレンズ).

Lyrics:
La La La イェイ
La La La yei
La La La yay!
itsumo ijyou ni pusshu shite
more than ever, I'm going to "push" (going to try and be extra cute)!
LOVE LOVE DAY
itsumo ijyou ni pusshu shite rabu rabu DAY
more than ever, its going to be a lovely day!
itsumo ijyou ni pusshu shite donto kamaete
more than ever, I'm going to stand ready!
itsumo ijyou ni omoi yaru
more than ever, I'm going to be thoughtful!
minna atsumatte sawai de seishunshite fuzakeatte
gather around, everyone! enjoy every bit life has to offer
korehodoni nai shiawasemono ni naru
we will be happier than ever!
nakitai tokoro wa hitoridemo mitsukerareru
even if you feel like crying by yourself, there is a place to be found
waratte waratte kimi no egao ga mitai
smile! smile! i want to see your smile!
nakitai toki niwa sotto soba ni ite ageyou
if there is a time you feel like crying, I'll be there for you
waratte waratte kimi to ashita aitai
smile! smile! i want to be with you tomorrow
La La La イェイ
La La La yei
La La La yay!
itsumo ijyou ni puritei ga-ru
more than ever, I feel like a pretty girl!
itsumo ijyou ni akki DAY
more than ever, it's a lucky day!
tsuyoki de ite
more than ever, I feel strong!
itsumo ijyou ni omotte iru
more than ever, I believe in this!
katachinonaimono dakara omoshirokute taisetsu ni suru
It's hard to describe but that's why it's fun and important
ima made ni nai shiawasemono ni naru
and it makes me happier than ever!
nakushita kimochi wa mouichido mitsuke ni ikou
let's go and search one more time for that lost feeling
waratte waratte kimi no egao ga mitai
smile! smile! i want to see your smile
setsunai kimochi wa kuchibue ni azukete miyou
Let's try and whistle away those painful feelings
waratte waratte kimi to ashita aitai
smile! smile! i want to be with you tomorrow
nakitai tokoro wa hitoridemo mitsukerareru
even if you feel like crying by yourself, there is a place to be found
waratte waratte kimi no egao ga mitai
smile! smile! i want to see your smile
nakitai toki niwa sotto soba ni ite ageyou
if there is a time you feel like crying, I'll be there for you
waratte waratte kimo to ashita aitai
smile! smile! i want to be with you tomorrow
La La La kimi to ashita aitai
La La La i want to be with you tomorrow
Translation Notes:
"push" is a term used in Japanese to mean "try to be extra cute".
References:
I want to say that the following translation is based off a translation done by someone else(I'd credit them but the subtitled vid I pulled this from has no translator name on it and the torrent is expired it seems o_O).
I did a small bit of editing here and there as well as added the romaji and jp lyrics.
» gjay: i love this song!
