Although her first single "Momo no Hanabira" (桃ノ花ビラ) was released in September of 2003, it wasn't until her 2nd single Sakuranbo (さくらんぼ) that she became a sensation. As of 2006, she has released a total of 3 albums as well as numerous singles. She also starred in in the drama "Tokyo Friends."
At the moment of this writing, she is one of my favorite artists; mainly due to a unique combination of her lyrics, song composition, and personality. My personal favorites among her compositions are Haneari Tamago (羽ありたまご), Amaenbo (甘えんぼ) and Friends (フレンズ).

Lyrics:
aoao to shita yozora no shita de
under the lush green, night sky
anata ga miteta ushiro koi sugata
you gazed upon the rear silhouette of your love
tokiori miseru mujaki na negao
sometimes, you show your innocent, sleeping face
atashi ga miteta koishii sugata
and I gaze at that beloved sight
donna hitotoki mo subete
no matter the moment,
wasurenai you ni
I can't forget it all
muchuu de shattaa kiru atashi no kokoro wa
and as if in a trance, the shutter had clicked
setsunai shiawase datta
and (captured) my heart in a sense of painful bliss
tada kimi wo aishiteru
I still love you
tada kimi wo aishiteru
I still love you
tada kimi wo aishiteru
I still love you
tada sore dake de yokatta noni
and certainly, with only that, I'm glad
ame furu toki no kawashita kisu wa
the moment in the falling rain, our lips entwined
tsunagarete yuku futari no sugata
our two silhouettes connected
isshou ni mou nai kono kimochi
this feeling won't last my whole life
umaku ienai kedo
and although I can't say it properly
anata ni deatte atashi no mainichi wa
having happened to meet you, my everyday
kirakira to kagayaita yo
has sparkled and shone
tada kimi wo aishiteru
I still love you
tada kimi wo aishiteru
I still love you
tada kimi wo aishiteru
I still love you
anata ga kureta shiawase yo
you gave me happiness
tada kimi wo aishiteru
I still love you
tada kimi wo aishiteru
I still love you
tada kimi wo aishiteru
I still love you
tada sore dake de yokatta no ni
and certainly, with only that, I'm glad
chiisana heya ni kazararete iru
in this small room, two smiling faces are displayed
futari no egao renai shashin
a photograph of love
Translation Notes:
"Renai Shashin" is probably most accurately translated into "photograph of romance" instead of "photograph of love." However, "photograph of love" seems to be the most common translation for this song on the web. I don't really want to go against the masses here...

» Rjina: She sounds very sweet and honest in this song as if she were reminiscing on beautiful past events.
» mafee: Thanks so much for the translation. The meaning and music plus Ai's voice are so beautiful. As I've watched 'Tada, Kimi wo Aishiteru' already, I can't help associate this song with the movie. And the impression grew even more. :-3
» syaf: you should ignore 'masses' if you really think youre right..this "masses" mostly are bunch of immatures who thinks translation is still for singing...translation is where you put the song in your heart..judging the song to match your everyday life and so on..
